街舞舞者叶子带着这帮建筑师快步朝东西巷走去，一路上兴高采烈的讲述她对街舞的认识。同时怀疑我们是否跟得上她的讲解，时不时问一下“明白吗？”她一定是觉得这些建筑师太老了，跟不上时代。的确如此，此行颠覆了我们对桂林这座以喀斯特地貌和刘三姐闻名天下的传统旅游城市的认知。古街东西巷保持了明清风貌，工作日的下午略显冷清。而这古城的地下正举办舞甲天下国际街舞大赛，潮人汇聚。“Next Dan~cer！”DJ用拖音在烘托气氛，一名舞者从角落一跃而出，几位观众随着节奏走动为他打气。而左边人群举起手比出拇指朝下的手势并报以嘘声。这里正在选拔大赛决赛选手，剑拔弩张。地板舞的技巧总能炸翻全场，一段表演结束双方一起欢呼。原来都是相互熟悉的。

这是穿山甲舞场。将是一座没有门、也没有墙的建筑。三个木结构拱从高到低，相应的容纳舞者的人数不同。木结构本身集成LED扩散灯和舞台摇头灯。所有建造部件均由工厂加工完成，现场组装。桂林的街舞文化已经默默耕耘了十几年了，这次的国际街舞大赛是第十届比赛。参赛有一千多名选手，八十几个地区。秀峰区区委宣传部一直在扶持这个平台，希望融合文化、体育、旅游打造桂林成为更好的国家级全域旅游示范区。随着街舞文化慢慢被中国接受、消化，已然孕育出独具特点的潮流，而且不断的在吸引更多的人参与其中。

With the hip-hop culture gradually accepted and digested by China, it has given birth to a unique trend, and constantly attracts more people to participate in it.

Pangolin dance floor is expected to have no enclosure and no closing time. He didn't have a specific building type, just to fulfill the wishes of hip-hop dancers. Through innovation in experience, architecture can cope with the future.

穿山甲舞场是一座建筑也可以认为是一组建筑尺度的灯光装置。集成在木结构上的LED扩散灯提供了舞蹈氛围。光束灯和其他必要的舞台灯光装置则安装于木结构顶部。为了使每组到这里来跳舞的团队或个人能够自由的享用这个舞场的氛围灯光。在现场可以用手机扫描二维码进行排队登录和灯光控制。根据DJ导入的音乐不同，可自行选择灯光强度、色彩、闪烁节奏和灯光方向。
